Slovenia's Luka Koper 2023 cons net profit declines

Consolidated sales revenue edged down to 312.8 million euro last year from 313.5 million euro in 2022, Luka Koper said in an annual financial report posted on the website of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange on Thursday.

The company's consolidated earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) declined to 60.9 million euro from 83.1 million euro, while the earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) went down to 93.7 million euro from 114.6 million euro.

Investment expenditure fell 18% to 41.5 million euro in 2023, whereas the number of employees grew 7% to 1,922, Luka Koper said.

Luka Koper recorded a maritime throughput of 22.3 million tonnes last year, down 4% as compared to 2022, with container throughput increasing to 1.066 million TEUs in 2023, up 5%.
