LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), October 28 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant Krsko produced 488,098.4 MWh of electricity net in September, 0.4% below plan, the plant operator said.
Gross electricity output totalled 513,793.8 MWh in September, Krsko NPP said in a statement last week.
The power plant will be shut down from October 1 to October 29 for a planned overhaul, following 18 months of continuous operation, the Slovenian Nuclear Safety Administration (SNSA) said last month.
Krsko was built in Slovenia near the border with Croatia in the 1970s, when the two countries were still part of the former Yugoslavia. The two neighbours share the power plant's output.
