Slovenia's Krka repurchases 3,891 own shares

November 17 (SeeNews) - Slovenian pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG] said it raised its own shareholdings to 5.763% from 5.751% after repurchasing 3,891 of its shares for an overall 420,928 euro ($457,677) on the Ljubljana bourse, it said on Friday.

Krka bought 888 shares at 108.0 euro each on November 10, 897 shares at 109.22 euro each on November 13, 545 shares at 109.04 euro each on November 14, 884 shares at 108.0 euro each on November 15, as well as 677 shares at 106.58 euro each on November 16, it said in a bourse filing.

Prior to the transactions, Krka held 1,885,938 of its own shares. Following the repurchase, it now holds 1,889,829 own shares.

The share purchase is part of Krka's new share buyback programme, launched in July 2023, under which the company plans to acquire a maximum of just over 1.45 million own shares over the following 36 months. The maximum pecuniary amount allocated to the programme is 424.4 million euro.
