Krka bought 481 shares at 82.88 euro each on October 5, a further 903 shares at 82.98 euro each on October 6, another 888 shares at 82.20 euro each on October 7, an additional 880 stocks at 81.91 euro on October 8, and a final 278 shares at 81.40 each on October 9, it said in a bourse filing on Monday.
Prior to the transactions, Krka held 1,483,138 of its own shares, representing 4.523% of all shares issued. Following the repurchase, it now holds 1,486,568 own shares, or 4.533% of the share capital.
The share purchase is part of Krka's new share buyback programme, launched in July, under which the company plans to acquire a maximum of just over 1.84 million own shares over the following 36 months. The maximum pecuniary amount allocated to the programme is 356.4 million euro.
Krka's shares closed down 49% at 81.20 euro on the Ljubljana bourse on Monday. They did not trade at opening on Tuesday.
