Krka bought 889 shares at 81.39 euro each on October 12, a further 708 shares at 80.86 euro each on October 13, another 903 shares at 81.32 euro each on October 14, an additional 9 stocks at 81.20 euro on October 15, and a final 696 shares at 82.40 each on October 19, it said in a bourse filing.
Prior to the transactions, Krka held 1,486,568 of its own shares, representing 4.533% of all shares issued. Following the repurchase, it now holds 1,489,773 own shares, or 4.543% of the share capital.
The share purchase is part of Krka's new share buyback programme, launched in July, under which the company plans to acquire a maximum of just over 1.84 million own shares over the following 36 months. The maximum pecuniary amount allocated to the programme is 356.4 million euro.
Krka's shares traded down 1.46% at 81.20 euro on the Ljubljana bourse at opening on Tuesday.
