Slovenia's Jan-Aug new passenger car registrations down 15.4% y/y - ACEA

September 16 (SeeNews) - New passenger car registrations in Slovenia fell by 15.4% on the year in the first eight months of 2022, to 32,982, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) said on Friday, quoting provisional figures.

In August alone, new passenger car registrations in Slovenia declined by 5.4% on the year to 3,339, ACEA said in a statement.

New passenger car registrations in the EU, excluding Malta, declined 11.9% year-on-year to 5.997 million in the January-August period of 2022, ACEA said in a statement.

In EU12, which encompasses member states that have joined the EU since 2004, registrations were 8.5% lower on the year at 758,215 in the first eight months of 2022.

New passenger car registrations in Slovenia rose by a marginal 0.6% in 2021, to 53,988, following a 27% drop in 2020.
