In August alone, new passenger car registrations in Slovenia declined by 5.4% on the year to 3,339, ACEA said in a statement.
New passenger car registrations in the EU, excluding Malta, declined 11.9% year-on-year to 5.997 million in the January-August period of 2022, ACEA said in a statement.
In EU12, which encompasses member states that have joined the EU since 2004, registrations were 8.5% lower on the year at 758,215 in the first eight months of 2022.
New passenger car registrations in Slovenia rose by a marginal 0.6% in 2021, to 53,988, following a 27% drop in 2020.
