Slovenia’s Istrabenz Sells 4.04% of Petrol to Gorenjska Banka under Repurchase Agreement

The repurchase agreement still leaves Istrabenz in control of the voting rights attached to the transacted 84,299 Petrol shares, Istrabenz said in a statement to the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE), where its shares are listed.

The company gave no financial details about the transaction. It now owns 79,990 shares of Petrol, equal to a 3.8% stake.

In October Istrabenz sold 4.81% of Petrol to the country’s largest bank by assets, Nova Ljubljanska Banka, to settle liabilities.

Shares of blue chip Petrol fell 0.6% to an average price of 262.45 euro ($333) and Istrabenz shed 0.19% to 36.60 euro on the LJSE on Wednesday. Istrabenz released its statement after the end of trading.
