LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), October 11 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's government said it has approved the issuing of loan guarantees of up to 777 million euro ($855 million) for the construction of two major transport infrastructure projects.
A loan guarantee of up 417 million euro will be granted to state-run project company 2TDK for financing the construction of a second track of the Divaca-Koper railway line, the government said in a press release on Thursday.
The government will also provide a loan guarantee of up to 360 million euro to state-controlled motorway company DARS to finance the construction of parts of the Third Development Axis - the highway connecting the Koroska region in the north to Dolenjska in the south, including the Velenje - Slovenj Gradec section in the north, and the Novo Mesto-Osredka section in the south.
