Slovenia’s GDP Grows by Real 3.8% Y/Y in Q3

December 10 (SeeNews) - Slovenia’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew by a real 3.8% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2008, down from an annual increase of 5.5% in the previous quarter, the country’s Statistics Office said on Wednesday.

The country’s economy grew by 7.5% in the third quarter of 2007, the Statistics Office said in a statement.

In the first nine months of 2008 GDP increased by 5.0% compared to the year-ago period.

Seasonally and working days-adjusted GDP increased by 0.7% in the third quarter of 2008 compared to the second quarter of 2008 and by 3.5% compared to the third quarter of 2007.
