The country’s economy grew by 7.5% in the third quarter of 2007, the Statistics Office said in a statement.
In the first nine months of 2008 GDP increased by 5.0% compared to the year-ago period.
Seasonally and working days-adjusted GDP increased by 0.7% in the third quarter of 2008 compared to the second quarter of 2008 and by 3.5% compared to the third quarter of 2007.
Slovenia, a country of two million people, joined the European Union in 2004 and the eurozone in 2007.
