Domestic expenditure increased by 1.7% year-on-year in the first quarter, marking the highest increase in the last six quarters, while final consumption expenditure climbed by 2.0%, the statistical office said in a statement.
Gross fixed capital formation grew by 0.6% year-on-year in January-March. Exports decreased by 0.6% and imports fell by 0.9%.
In the fourth quarter of 2023, Slovenia's gross domestic product (GDP) grew 2.1% on the year.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said on Wednesday it expects Slovenia's GDP to increase by 2.3% in 2024, maintaining its growth forecast made in September.
