August 25 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's economic sentiment index decreased by 0.1 percentage points month-on-month in August, to 11.3, after dropping by 0.9 points in July, seasonally adjusted data from the country's statistical office showed on Friday.
On an annual comparison basis, the indicator was 4.8 percentage points higher in August, and 13.7 p.p. above the long-term average, the data indicated.
In August, the services confidence indicator was unchanged from July level. Compared to August last year, it increased by 7 p.p. and was 15 p.p. above the long-term average.
The manufacturing confidence indicator also remained month-on-month in August. Compared to a year earlier, it increased by 1 percentage point (p.p.) and was 9 p.p. above the long-term average.
In August, the retail trade confidence indicator was 5 p.p. lower than in July 2017. On an annual basis, it decreased by 6 p.p. and was 7 p.p. above the long-term average.
The construction confidence indicator was flat from a month earlier in August. Compared to August 2016, it increased by 25 p.p. and was 36 p.p. above the long-term average.
