Slovenia's economic sentiment improves to pre-crisis level in Oct

October 25 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's economic sentiment index increased by 3.1 percentage points month-on-month in October to the pre-crisis level of 15.4, after edging up by 0.9 points in September, seasonally adjusted data from the country's statistical office showed on Wednesday.

The favourable trend of the sentiment indicator continues as its value reached levels last seen in 2007, the office said in a statement.

The indicator was by 8.6 percentage points higher than in October 2016 and by 17.8 percentage points above the long-term average, the data indicated.

In October, the services confidence indicator was four percentage points higher than in September. Compared to October last year, it increased by six percentage points and was 18 percentage points above the long-term average.

The manufacturing confidence indicator was two percentage points higher than in September. Compared to October 2016, it increased by six percentage points and was 13 percentage points above the long-term average.

The retail trade confidence indicator was four percentage points higher month-on-month. Compared to October 2016, it increased by 18 percentage points and was 16 percentage points above the long-term average.

The construction confidence indicator was five percentage points higher than in September and 26 percentage points higher on the year. It was also 41 percentage points above the long-term average.
