Slovenia's Cinkarna Celje buys back 1,895 own shares

October 13 (SeeNews) - Slovenian chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] said it repurchased 1,895 of its own shares for a total of 308,880 euro ($364,900).

Thus, Cinkarna Celje has increased its holding of own shares to 2.4706% of the issued share capital from 2.2361%, the company said in a filing with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange on Monday.

The company bought 295 own shares at 164 euro each on October 5, another 300 shares at 164 euro each on October 6, a further 300 shares at 164 euro each on October 7, and a final 1,000 stocks at 162.10 euro apiece on October 8, the statement read.

As of October 12, following the transaction, Cinkarna Celje held 19,962 own shares.

The decision for the share buyback was approved by the general shareholders' meeting of Cinkarna Celje on June 17.

The company's shares closed down 0.61% at 162 euro on the Ljubljana bourse on Monday. They did not trade at opening on Tuesday.
