Slovenia's building permits up 19% m/m in October

LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), November 24 (SeeNews) – The number of building permits issued in Slovenia in October rose 19% month-on-month to 671, the office of national statistics said, without providing annual comparison.

A total of 255 permits were issued for residential projects in October, up from September's 240, while 416 permits were issued for non-residential buildings, up from September's 326, the statistical office said in a statement last week.

The floor area of the buildings for which permits were issued in October stood at some 183,000 sq m, up 27% compared to a month earlier, the statement read, without providing annual comparison.

The construction of 414 new dwellings was planned in the permits issued in October, up by a monthly 44%, and higher by an annual 40%.
