Slovenia's building permits down 6% m/m in January

A total of 249 permits were issued for residential projects in January, down from December's 251, and 235 permits were issued for non-residential buildings, down from December's 265, the statistical office said in a statement last week.

The floor area of the buildings for which permits were issued in January stood at 143,983 sq m, down from 191,285 sq m a month earlier, the statement read.

The construction of 335 new dwellings was planned in the permits issued in January, down from 603 in December.
