Slovenia's building permits down 30% m/m in February

March 20 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Slovenia in February decreased by 30% month-on-month to 341, the office of national statistics said on Tuesday.

A total of 159 permits were issued for residential projects in February, down from January's 249, and 182 permits were issued for non-residential buildings, down from January's 235, the statistical office said in a statement last week.

The floor area of the buildings for which permits were issued in February stood at 123,593 sq m, down from 143,983 sq m a month earlier, the statement read.

The construction of 327 new dwellings was planned in the permits issued in February, down from 335 in January.
