Budget revenues in the first ten months of 2022 rose 14.2% on the year to 10.3 billion euro, while expenditure declined 7.3% to 10.6 billion euro, the finance ministry said in a statement last week.
Tax revenue in January-October totalled 8.7 billion euro, 15.1% more than in the same period last year, whereas value-added tax (VAT) inflow went up 16% to 4.0 billion euro and corporate income tax inflows increased by 42.2% to 1.3 billion euro, the finance ministry noted.
Interest expenses in the first ten months reached a total of 578 million euro and were 70 million euro lower than in the same period last year, the finance ministry said.
Slovenia closed 2021 with a consolidated budget deficit of 2.915 billion euro, equivalent to 5.8% of the estimated gross domestic product (GDP).
