October 15 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's average net monthly salary was 985.55 euro ($1,278) in August, down by a real 3.1% on the year, the statistics office said on Monday.

On a monthly basis, the average net monthly salary in the country edged up by a real 0.2% in August, data from the statistics office showed.

In the first eight months of 2012, the average net monthly salary in Slovenia decreased by a real 1.7% from a year earlier to 987.86 euro.
