Slovenian Stocks Extend Gains

September 7 (SeeNews) - Slovenian stocks extended their gains for a second session running on Monday in slim turnover, data from the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) showed.

The LJSE blue-chip SBITOP index added 0.25% to 1,026.44 points and the broader SBI20 index advanced 0.22% to 4,155.18 points.

On Friday, the SBITOP added 0.61% and the SBI20 rose 0.44%.

Five of the eight SBITOP members gained ground on Monday and three ended lower.

Slovenia's largest brewer Pivovarna Lasko, which will be dropped from the SBITOP as of October 1, was the biggest gainer on Monday, adding 1.13% to an average daily price of 30.50 euro ($43.8) in a volume of 106 shares.

Slovenia’s biggest insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav was second in terms of daily rise. Its stock ended 0.99% higher at 22.54 euro in a volume of 5,331 shares, which made it the most traded on Monday.

The biggest blue-chip decliner was rubber-to-tourism holding company Sava, which closed 0.77% lower at 231.41 euro in a volume of 61 shares.

LJSE's total turnover more than halved to 952,910 euro onMonday from Friday’s 2.2 million euro. Bonds contributed 128,510 euro to total turnover on Monday, compared to 172,000 euro on Friday.
