Slovenian Stock Indices Edge Up in Higher Turnover

September 17 (SeeNews) - Slovenian share indices on Thursday built on their slim gains from the previous session as turnover rose, data of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) showed.

Slovenian Stock Indices Edge Up in Higher Turnover

The blue-chip SBITOP index added 0.90% to 1,062.20 points and the broader SBI20 rose 0.98% to 4,319.14 points.

On Wednesday, the SBITOP rose 0.47% and the SBI20 added 0.65%.

All of the eight SBITOP components closed higher on Thursday.

Slovenia’s biggest insurer, Zavarovalnica Triglav, led the blue chip gainers, jumping 2.37% to an average price of 25.93 euro ($38) in a volume of 1,627 shares.

Household appliances manufacturer Gorenje was the most liquid company on Thursday as 21,455 of its shares changed hands. The stock closed 0.52% higher at an average price of 11.55 euro.

LJSE's total turnover rose to 3.2 million euro from Wednesday’s 2.09 million euro.
