LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), September 16 (SeeNews) – Slovenian share indices edgd up on Wednesday as turnover rose slightly, data of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) showed.
The blue-chip SBITOP index added 0.47% to 1,052.76 points and the broader SBI20 rose 0.65% to 4,277.41 points.
On Tuesday, the SBITOP inched down by 40% and the SBI20 lost 0.59%.
Two of the eight SBITOP components fell on Wednesday and six closed higher.
The two blue chip decliners were the Pivovarna Lasko brewer, which lost 2.14% to an average daily price of 29.31 euro ($43.04), and rubber-to-tourism holding company Sava, ending 0.24% lower at 228.56 euro. A total of 122 shares of Lasko and 134 shares of Sava changed hands.
Nova Kreditna Banka Maribor, the nation's second biggest lender by assets, led the blue chip gainers on Wednesday. Its stock jumped by 2.02% to 12.13 euro in a volume of 4,598 shares. On Tuesday the bank led the decliners on the LJSE, losing 1.0%.
Ljubljana Airport, part of the SBI20, was the most liquid company on Wednesday as 9,325 of its shares changed hands. The stock closed 0.70% higher at 31.50 euro.
LJSE's total turnover rose slightly to 2.09 million euro from Tuesday’s 1.9 million euro.
