The SBITOP, which tracks the most liquid and highly capitalised stocks on the LJSE, increased 1.7% to 767.31 points after adding 1.94% on Thursday.
Six of the eight blue chips of the LJSE closed higher, one fell while retailer Mercator [LJE:MELR] ended flat at 72.3 euro ($88.9) on Friday.
Insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav [LJE:ZVTG] was the sole blue-chip decliner, closing 0.82% down at 21.82 euro.
Energy company Petrol [LJE:PETG] led the SBITOP gainers, closing 4.76% up at 287 euro.
Home appliances maker Gorenje [LJE:GRVG] was the most traded blue chip with 15,683 shares changing hands. The stock closed 3.77% up at 5.5 euro.
Total daily turnover on the LJSE rose to 2.3 million euro from 1.9 million euro on Thursday.
