Slovenian stock index rebounds, turnover down

December 18 (SeeNews) - The benchmark index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE), the SBITOP, recovered on Thursday amid lower total daily turnover, bourse data indicated.

Slovenian stock index rebounds, turnover down

The SBITOP, which tracks the most liquid and highly capitalised stocks on the LJSE, rose 1.94% to 754.46 points after losing 1.55% on Wednesday.

Seven of the eight blue chips of the LJSE closed higher while retailer Mercator [LJE:MELR] was the sole SBITOP decliner, ending 0.28% down at 72.3 euro ($89.3) on Thursday.

Port operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG] led the SBITOP gainers, closing 6.98% up at 22.99 euro.

Drug maker Krka [LJE:KRKG] was the most traded blue chip with 16,853 shares changing hands. The stock closed 2.73% up at 56.5 euro.

Total daily turnover on the LJSE dropped to 1.9 million euro from 3.5 million euro on Wednesday.
