Slovenian stock index goes up, turnover flattish

December 23 (SeeNews) - The benchmark index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE), the SBITOP, went further up on Tuesday as total daily turnover stayed flattish, bourse data indicated.

Slovenian stock index goes up, turnover flattish

The SBITOP, which tracks the most liquid and highly capitalised stocks on the LJSE, increased 0.43% to 779.54 points after rising 1.16% on Monday.

Four of the eight blue chips of the LJSE closed lower, two rose while retailer Mercator [LJE:MELR] and port operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG] ended flat at 72 euro ($88.6) and 23.5 euro, respectively.

Insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav [LJE:ZVTG] led the blue-chip gainers, closing 2.02% up at 22.75 euro.

Reinsurer Pozavarovalnica Sava [LJE:POSR] led the SBITOP decliners, closing 1.24% down at 15.9 euro.

Drug maker Krka [LJE:KRKG] was the most traded blue chip with 15,718 shares changing hands. The stock closed 1.74% up at 58.5 euro.

Total daily turnover on the LJSE was almost unchanged at 2.1 million euro on Tuesday.
