The sum is significantly higher than in 2021 (for fiscal year 2020) and on a par with the targets set in the annual asset management plan, SSH said in a statement on Wednesday.

The largest dividend payers are Zavarovalnica Triglav, Krka, NLB, Telekom, Petrol and Luka Koper which generated 83% of the total dividend payout for 2021.

Out of the total dividend, 123 million euro will be distributed to the Slovenian government, and 59.9 million euro will be kept by SSH, which represents state ownership interest in more than 50 companies.

Return on equity (ROE) for last year was 6.1%, or 1.9 percentage points above the 2021 target value.

"The general recovery of the Slovenian economy, which exceeded expectations, contributed significantly to these results, while various anti-COVID measures also had an impact," SHH noted.

SSH, established in 2014, is also in charge of running the privatisation process and settling state liabilities.
