Slovenian Shares Sink Further in Higher Turnover

December 14 (SeeNews) - Slovenian shares extended their losses on Monday, while turnover rose, data of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) showed.

Slovenian Shares Sink Further in Higher Turnover

The blue-chip SBITOP index edged down 0.02% to 981.70 points and the broader SBI20 index fell 0.20% to 4,059.54 points.

On Friday, the SBITOP closed down 0.68% and the SBI20 ended 0.39% lower.

Five of the seven LJSE blue chips closed lower on Monday, and two rose.

Telekom Slovenije led the SBITOP decliners, closing at an average daily price of 131.35 euro ($192), 2.58% down from its previous close.

Drug maker Krka and Mercator were the SBITOP gainers today.

Krka ended 1.55% higher at an average price of 65.54 euro, while Mercator closed at 156.25 euro, 0.21% up from the previous session.

Nova Kreditna Banka Maribor was the most liquid stock with a traded volume of 69,222 shares. The company shares fell 0.17% to an average price of 11.99 euro.

LJSE's total turnover rose to 2.9 million euro from Friday's 2.4 million euro.
