Slovenian Shares Open Week Lower, Turnover Nearly Halves

October 26 (SeeNews) - Slovenian share indices on Monday erased their gains from the last session before the weekend as turnover also dropped, data of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) showed.

Slovenian Shares Open Week Lower, Turnover Nearly Halves

The blue-chip SBITOP index fell 0.91% to 1,062.25 points and the broader SBI20 index fell 0.77% to 4,404.08 points.

On Friday, the SBITOP climbed 0.13% and the SBI20 gained 0.64%.

All seven LJSE blue chips closed down.

Telekom Slovenije led the SBITOP decliners, closing 2.8% lower at an average daily price of 151.47 euro ($227), while fuel retailer Petrol recorded the smallest drop, ticking down 0.01% to 340.11 euro.

Drug maker Krka, a blue-chip heavyweight, was the most liquid stock in a volume of 17,151 stocks, ending 1.05% lower at 71.33 euro.

LJSE's total turnover nearly halved to 2.4 million euro from 4.0 million euro on Friday.
