Slovenian Shares Fall, Turnover Drops

December 21 (SeeNews) - Slovenian share indices ended lower in decreased turnover on Monday, data of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) showed.

The blue-chip SBITOP index fell 0.39% to 976.56 points, while the broader SBI20 index closed 0.53% lower at 4,025.17 points.

On Friday, the SBITOP closed 0.92% higher and the SBI20 ended 0.76% up.

Five of the seven LJSE blue chips closed lower on Monday, and two rose.

Fuel retailerPetrol led blue-chip gainers. Its shares closed 2.25% up at an average daily price of 313.36 euro ($449.3).

Blue-chip retailer Mercator led decliners, ending 2.66% down at an average daily price of 155.74 euro.

Drug producer Krka was the most liquid stock with a traded volume of 10,808 shares on Monday. The company stock fell 0.62% to an average price of 64.02 euro.

LJSE's total turnover dropped to 2.0 million euro from Friday's 5.0 million euro.
