December 28 (SeeNews) - Slovenian share indices fell in higher turnover on Monday, data of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) showed.

The blue-chip SBITOP index ended 0.84% down at 978.36 points, while the broader SBI20 index closed 1.04% lower at 4,042.51 points. On Wednesday, the SBITOP closed 0.93% up and the SBI20 ended 0.92% higher.

The bourse was closed on Thursday and Friday for Christmas.

Six of the seven LJSE blue chips closed lower on Monday, and only fuel retailer Petrol ended 0.13% higher at an average daily price of 319.80 euro ($461).

Nova Kreditna Banka Maribor led the blue-chip decliners and was the most liquid stock in a volume of 36,276 shares on Monday. The company's stock fell 2.38% to an average price of 11.47 euro.

LJSE's total turnover rose to 7.4 million euro from Wednesday's 3.3 million euro.
