Slovenian Shares Drop Further in Higher Turnover

December 11 (SeeNews) - Slovenian shares extended their losses on Friday, while turnover rose, data of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) showed.

Slovenian Shares Drop Further in Higher Turnover

The blue-chip SBITOP index closed 0.68% down at 981.92 points and the broader SBI20 index fell 0.39% to 4,067.69 points.

On Thursday, the SBITOP closed down 1.14% and the SBI20 ended 0.92% lower.

Five of the seven LJSE blue chips closed lower on Friday, and two rose.

Drug maker Krka led the SBITOP decliners and was the most liquid stock with a traded volume of 21,411 shares. The company shares fell 1.71% to an average price of 64.54 euro ($95.3).

Fuel retailer Petrol and Nova Kreditna Banka Maribor were the SBITOP gainers today.

Petrol ended 0.72% higher at an average price of 315.19 euro, while Nova Kreditna Banka Maribor closed at 12.01 euro, 0.84% up from the previous session.

LJSE's total turnover rose to 2.4 million euro from Thursday's 1.2 million euro.
