Slovenian Shares Close Mixed, Turnover Up

December 17 (SeeNews) - Slovenian share indices ended mixed in higher turnover on Thursday, data of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) showed.

Slovenian Shares Close Mixed, Turnover Up

The blue-chip SBITOP index fell 0.25% to 971.45 points, while the broader SBI20 index edged up 0.03% to 4,015.95 points.

On Wednesday, the SBITOP closed down 0.70% and the SBI20 ended 0.63% lower.

Five of the seven LJSE blue chips closed lower on Thursday and two rose.

Insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav led the SBITOP decliners, closing at an average daily price of 25.33 euro ($36.4), 1.94% down from its previous close.

Telekom Slovenije and Mercator were the SBITOP gainers on Thursday.

Telekom Slovenije ended 1.77% higher at an average price of 133.43 euro, while Mercator closed at 157.70 euro, 1.30% up from the previous session.

Nova Kreditna Banka Maribor was the most liquid stock with a traded volume of 9,604 shares. The bank stock fell 0.44% to an average price of 11.43 euro.

LJSE's total turnover jumped to 4.5 million euro from Wednesday's 1.4 million euro.
