Slovenian Share Indices Rise, Turnover Up

October 14 (SeeNews) - Slovenian share indices closed higher on Wednesday and turnover also rose, data of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) showed.

Slovenian Share Indices Rise, Turnover Up

The blue-chip SBITOP index rose 0.86% to 1,101.32 points and the broader SBI20 index added 0.97% to 4,523.29 points.

On Tuesday, the SBITOP edged down 0.03% and the SBI20 added 0.1%.

Two of the seven LJSE blue chips ended lower and five closed higher.

Rubber-to-tourism holding company Sava ended 1.38% lower to an average price of 220.67 euro ($325).

Telekom Slovenije was the other decliner. Its shares fell 1.23% to an average price of 155.93 euro.

Nova Kreditna Banka Maribor, the nation's second biggest lender by assets, led the blue-chip advancers. Its shares jumped 5.63% to 14.25 euro.

Drug maker Krka, a SBITOP heavyweight, was the most liquid company on Wednesday as 22,703 of its shares changed hands. Its share price increased 0.78% to 74.54 euro.

LJSE's total turnover rose to 3.967 million euro from 3.7 million euro on Tuesday.
