Slovenian Share Indices Rise in Higher Turnover

October 15 (SeeNews) - Slovenian share indices closed higher on Thursday and turnover also rose, data of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) showed.

Slovenian Share Indices Rise in Higher Turnover

The blue-chip SBITOP index went up 1.92% to 1,122.43 points and the broader SBI20 index added 1.88% to 4,608.37 points.

On Wednesday, the SBITOP rose 0.86% and the SBI20 added 0.97%.

Six of the seven LJSE blue chips ended higher, only shares of rubber-to-tourism holding company Sava ended 0.56% lower at an average price of 219.43 euro ($327).

Nova Kreditna Banka Maribor, the nation's second biggest bank by assets, led the blue-chip advancers. Its shares jumped 7.02% to 15.25 euro.

Drug maker Krka, a SBITOP heavyweight, was the most liquid company on Thursday as 34,387 of its shares changed hands. Its share price increased 1.29% to 75.50 euro.

LJSE's total turnover rose to 5.899 million euro from 3.967 million euro on Wednesday.
