Slovenian Share Indices Extend Slim Gains in Lower Turnover

August 21 (SeeNews) - Slovenian share indices notched up slim gains for a second day in a row on Friday in lower turnover, data of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) showed.

The blue-chip SBITOP index of the LJSE rose 0.62% to 1,037.95 points and the broader SBI20 index rose 0.46% to 4,199.48 points.

On Thursday, the SBITOP edged up 0.71% and the SBI20 rose 0.81%.

All eight of Slovenia's blue chips ended higher with brewer Pivovarna Lasko as the biggest SBITOP gainer for a second day in a row, adding 6.16% to an average daily price of 31.89 euro ($45.61) in a volume of 604 shares.

Insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav put in the second-best performance among the blue chips, adding 2.47% to 22.0 euro in a volume of 1,284 shares.

Drug maker Krka was the most traded company among the blue-chips on Friday as 10,665 shares changed hands. Shares added 0.31% to 72.04 euro.

LJSE's total turnover fell to 6.42 million euro ($9.2 million) from Thursday’s 19.5 million euro.

Bonds generated 5.1 million euro, or 79%, of Friday's total bourse turnover.
