Slovenian Share Indices Extend Rise in Lower Turnover

October 1 (SeeNews) - Slovenian share indices on Thursday extended their rally as turnover fell sharply, data of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) showed.

Slovenian Share Indices Extend Rise in Lower Turnover

The blue-chip SBITOP index was up 0.9% to 1,067.76 points and the broader SBI20 index added 0.79% to 4,335.25 points.

On Wednesday, the SBITOP was up 0.72% and the SBI20 rose 0.65%.

All seven of the blue chips closed higher on Thursday.

Zavarovalnica Triglav led the SBITOP charge, rising 2.91% to an average daily price of 27.63 euro ($40.02).

As of October 1, brewer Pivovarna Lasko was dropped from the SBITOP. It ended 3.23% lower at an average price of 27.53 euro on Thursday.

Drug maker Krka, a SBITOP heavyweight, was the most liquid company on Thursday as 11,471 of its shares changed hands, ending 0.31% higher at an average price of 72.25 euro.

LJSE's total turnover more than halved to 2.0 million euro from Wednesday’s 4.7 million euro.
