September 25 (SeeNews) - Slovenian share indices fell on Friday in higher turnover, data of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) showed.

The blue-chip SBITOP index was 0.17% lower at 1,051.55 points and the broader SBI20 index lost 0.28% to 4,285.39 points.

On Thursday, the SBITOP fell 1.26% and the SBI20 was down 1.28%.

Three of the eight SBITOP components closed higher on Friday, and five closed down.

Nova Kreditna Banka Maribor, the nation's second biggest lender by assets, led the blue-chip decliners on Friday. Its stock dropped by 2.95% to an average price of 11.85 euro ($17.5) in a volume of 8,890 shares.

Slovenian blue-chip brewer Pivovarna Lasko paced the gainers, rising 2.39% to an average price of 28.27 euro.

Drug maker Krka, a SBITOP heavyweight, was the most liquid company on Friday as 8,926 of its shares changed hands, ending 0.10% lower at an average price of 71.37 euro.

LJSE's total turnover rose to 3.7 million euro from Thursday’s 2.2 million euro.
