Slovenian Road Operator DARS To Borrow 267.5 Mln Euro from Germany’s KfW

September 22 (SeeNews) - Slovenian road operator DARS said on Monday it has signed a contract with Frankfurt-based bank KfW to borrow 267.5 million euro ($390 million) in order to finance road construction.

The loan, which is guaranteed by the government, will mature in 20 years, DARS said in a statement.

Slovenia, which joined the European union in 2004, lies on two of the EU-defined transport corridors. Corridor X links Austria with Greece via former Yugoslavia while Corridor V links Italy with Ukraine.
