September 19 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant Krsko generated 494,786.8 MWh of electricity net in August, just 0.04% below plan, the plant operator said on Tuesday.
Gross electricity output totalled 524,446.2 MWh last month, Krsko said in a statement.
Krsko recently said it plans to produce net 5,900 GWh of electricity in 2017.
The power plant beat its production target by 0.6% and generated net 5,431 GWh in 2016, up 1.1% year-on-year.
Krsko was built in Slovenia near the border with Croatia in the 1970s when the two countries were still part of the former Yugoslavia. The two neighbours share the power plant's output.
