Slovenian blue-chip index extends gains

November 8 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip index of the Ljubljana bourse rose further on Thursday as turnover jumped, stock exchange data indicated.

Slovenian blue-chip index extends gains

The SBITOP added 0.34% to 600.78 points after rising 1.36% on Wednesday.

Four of the seven blue chips of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) rose on Thursday and three fell.

Home appliances maker Gorenje [LJE:GRVG] paced the blue-chip decliners, falling 4.4% to 4.302 euro ($5.6).

Nova Kreditna Banka Maribor [LJE:KBMR] led the SBITOP gainers, rising 2.9% to 1.35 euro. It was also the most traded blue chip with 11,517 shares changing hands.

LJSE's total turnover rose to 4.8 million euro from 894,700 euro on Wednesday.
