Slovenian blue-chip index continues drop

October 15 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip index of the Ljubljana bourse fell further on Monday in lower turnover, stock exchange data indicated.

Slovenian blue-chip index continues drop

The SBITOP fell 0.24% to 572.96 points after losing 1.41% on Friday.

Three of the seven blue chips of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) closed lower on Monday and as many gained ground, while retailer Mercator [LJE:MELR] closed flat at 113.5 euro ($147).

Home appliances maker Gorenje [LJE:GRVG] led the blue-chip gainers, rising 5.75% to 4.6 euro.

Insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav [LJE:ZVTG] led the SBITOP decliners, falling 2.03% to 14.5 euro. It was also the most traded blue chip with 12,630 shares changing hands.

LJSE's total turnover fell to 791,530 euro from 1.2 million euro on Friday.
