March 13 (SeeNews) - Slovenia posted the EU's highest annual increase in industrial output in January, at 12.2%, followed by Greece with 10.5%, Eurostat said on Wednesday.
Slovenia also recorded the second-biggest monthly rise in industrial production in the EU in the review month, at 10.6%, the bloc's statistical office said in a monthly report.
In contrast, Bulgaria saw the steepest annual decline in industrial output among EU member states in Southeast Europe (SEE) and third-largest in the EU, at 7.6%.
Elsewhere in SEE, Romania's industrial production marked the biggest fall month-on-month, at 3.4%.
In the EU overall, industrial output slipped by 5.7% year-on-year and by a monthly 2.1% in January.
