Bids were filed by six companies - local companies Pelagonija Inzenering, Granit AD Skopje, and Struga Ilinden, Croatia's Ingra, and Austrian companies Alpine Bau and Strabag, the agency’s assistant director Katerina Panova Ilievska told SeeNews by phone.
A procedure for evaluation of the bids will follow, she said without giving details about the offered prices. The candidates came up with separate price offers for each road section.
The 11 road sections have a total length of 288 kilometres and their reconstruction is part of a 70 million euro ($90.32 million) project for the upgrade of the country's roads financed by the World Bank, the Transport Ministry said earlier.
