Shanghai Unison Aluminium investing 35 mln euro in Bulgarian plant

March 19 (SeeNews) - Chinese car parts manufacturer Shanghai Unison Aluminium Products is investing over 35 million euro ($38.1 million) in a new plant near Bulgaria's second largest city of Plovdiv, the city authorities said.

The plant, which will be located in Trakia Economic Zone, will manufacture aluminium profiles for the automotive industry, the business development unit at Plovdiv municipality said in a statement on Monday.

Its construction is slated for completion within a year.

The plant is expected to create between 150 and 200 jobs.

Shanghai Unison Aluminum Products is among the suppliers of automotive companies such as Tesla, Volvo and Fiat. The company has subsidiaries in Mexico and Bulgaria to serve its overseas customers, its website shows.
