The park, spanning 179 hectares, will comprise nine generators of 6.2 MW each, according to project documents posted on the Vranje municipality website on Thursday.

According to the Serbian business registry, Windflow West is co-owned by American-based SunFlow Holding, which owns 70% of its capital, and Turkish company Vulcanus Enerji Yatirim Anonim Sirketi, which holds the rest.

Approached by SeeNews for information on the size of the planned investment, a Vranje local government official declined to comment. Windflow West has not responded to a SeeNews e-mail seeking comment by the time this article was published.
