Earlier this month, TENT said it is delaying the restart of the A3 unit for January 12 due to the slower than planned overhaul works on the electro-filter system of the unit. A3 unit was taken offline in July for an upgrade with the initial plan to reconnect it to the grid on January 1, 2015.
"We still have quite a lot of work to do but we are hoping to sync it [A3 unit] to the grid around January 20, 2015," TENT's director Cedomir Ponocko said in a statement posted on the company's website.
The TENT A power station comprises six units with a combined capacity of 1,650 MW. The coal-fired TENT power generation complex comprises also TPPs TENT B, Kolubara and Morava. The complex has a total installed capacity of 3,288 MW.
At the moment five of TENT A's six units are operational while TENT B power station is working at full capacity. TPP Morava's 120 MW unit is also working while TENT switched on three units of its six-unit TPP Kolubara.
