"The expected annual production of the power plant is 15.1 GWh, which is enough to supply about 2,400 households. This is the first project in our portfolio of a total of 300 MW that we plan to build in the coming period," said Bojan Lazic, chief engineer of Germany’s AVR Solar Park, which built the facility along with China's Power Construction Corporation (PowerChina).
In June 2024, the construction of a new solar power plant in Obrenovac, with a capacity of 9.95 MW, is expected to begin, followed immediately by the construction of the second phase of the solar power plant in Saraorci, added Lazic.
