Serbia's Nis Airport breaks pre-pandemic passenger record - report

December 6 (SeeNews) - Serbia’s Nis Airport has welcomed 422,256 passengers so far this year, breaking the previous record set in the pre-pandemic 2019, local media reported.

“This shows that there is potential and that the investments carried out by the state through the Serbian government are justified and that only their implementation will lead to even better growth,” Nis Airport director, Mihajlo Zdravkovic, was quoted as saying by Juzne Vesti on Tuesday.

Last month, flag carrier Air Serbia won a tender worth nearly 34 million euro ($36.7 million) to provide subsidised flights from Nis and Kraljevo airports.
