The factory will have 150 employees, the Valjevo city government said in a statement last week.

Krstako will export the entire output of the factory to China, the Middle East, Austria and Italy.

"I think that somewhere between 30 and 40 containers of sawn timber, beech timber for the furniture industry will be exported monthly from this factory and about 15,000 tonnes of pellets of the AM plus 1 class will be sold in Italy and Austria," the owner of Krstako, Milan Krstic said in a video file posted on the website of public broadcaster RTS on Saturday.

The factory has a daily processing capacity of 120 cubic metres of wood and can produce 50 tonnes of pellets.
