August 17 (SeeNews) - Serbia had a consolidated budget deficit of 56.3 billion dinars ($849 million/603 million euro) in the first six months of 2009, Finance Ministry data indicated.

Serbia's H1 Consolidated Budget Gap at 56.3 Bln Dinars (603 Mln Euro)

Budget revenue was 527 billion dinars through June, while spending totalled 583 billion dinars, the Finance Ministry said in a statement on its website. The ministry gave no comparative figures for the same period of 2008.

Last month the finance ministry said Serbia is likely to end 2009 with a fiscal deficit equivalent to 4.5% of the projected Gross Domestic Product (GDP), exceeding the limit agreed with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) earlier this year. The government in Belgrade signed a two-year 3.0 billion euro ($4.2 billion) loan deal with the IMF in March, agreeing to contain the budget gap at 3.0% of GDP.

Details from Serbia's consolidated budget follow as reported by the Finance Ministry (in billions of dinars):
