The tender will be opened on April 19 with an August 4 deadline, the EBRD said in a statement on Friday, without providing further details.
EEPS has additionally initiated a tender to procure a consultant tasked with supervising the reconstruction works at the Vlasinske HPPs, the EBRD said in a separate statement on Friday.
The supervision tender was opened on April 12 with a June 11 deadline.
In December, the EBRD approved a 67 million euro loan towards the project. The remaining 15.4 million euro will come as grant funding from the European Union.
The project aims to extend the useful life of the 129 MW Vlasinske HPPs and raise the installed capacity of the complex by 8 MW, yielding some 313 GWh of increased production, the EBRD said last year.
In particular, the EBRD loan will finance the purchase of new generation units, accompanying auxiliary electromechanical systems of units and power plant, hydro mechanical equipment and control equipment for HPP consisting of four cascades, with the aim of replacing obsolete equipment.
The Vlasinske HPPs complex comprises four hydro power plants located in southeastern Serbia on the Vlasina lake.
